An experienced global health care provider, Dr. Scott has worked providing women's health care in settings that include Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya.  Her research interest is in preventing gender-based violence, work she has presented throughout the US and in Africa.  Good luck Dr. Scott!

Remembering Senator Edward Kennedy

by whowland 27. August 2009 13:13
The Dimock family is deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy.

Senator Kennedy was one of Dimock’s longest and strongest advocates.  His stalwart support for our Health Center and Head Start programs began in 1969 when The New England Hospital became Dimock Community Health Center and has never changed.  The services we provide to our communities, patients and clients reflect the visions and priorities he has consistently supported in his 47 years as our Senator.  Health care, family supports, child and maternal well being are the foundations of the legislation that he skillfully guided through the Senate over those many years.  That legislation and the Senator’s deep caring has -- in many ways -- made us who we are today.

We will greatly miss him.  Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.  Let us lift them up in our thoughts and prayers.

Dimock has lost a long and true friend.
