Obstetrics and Gynecology provides family planning needs and pre and postnatal care. All routine GYN care, including pap tests and colposcopy are available along with well-women and post-menopausal care.

OB/GYN Staff

Hope A. Ricciotti, M.D.
Clinical Director

Dr. Ricciotti received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She is currently an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is the director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dimock Community Health Center, and a faculty member at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Dr. Ricciotti is the Vice Chair for Medical Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she oversees medical student and residency education in women’s health and obstetrics and gynecology. She is the OB/GYN Clerkship Committee director for Harvard Medical School and the Program Director of the Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at BIDMC. Her research projects include evaluating innovative methods of medical education, including the use of virtual patients and simulation for training medical students and residents.

In addition to education of the medical community and improving patient care, Dr. Ricciotti is committed to educating the public. She has lectured to numerous women's groups and has written for O, The Oprah Magazine, Glamour, Fit Pregnancy, Pregnancy Magazine, Prevention Magazine, and Baby Magazine. She has appeared on the Today Show, Good Morning America and the TV Food Network, discussing nutrition in women. She and her chef/husband have co-authored the following:

· I’m Pregnant, Now What do I Eat (DK 2007)

· The Healthy Family Cookbook (WW Norton, 2004)

· The Pregnancy Cookbook (W.W. Norton, 1996, 2002)

· The Breast Cancer Prevention Cookbook (WW Norton 2002)

· The Menopause Cookbook (WW Norton 2001)

Dr. Ricciotti and her chef/husband have helped to implement innovative whole foods lunch programs and nutrition curricula in Massachusetts public school systems in order to improve the quality of lunches, nutrition, and education in healthy eating for children. She is a member of Lluminari, an expert network comprised of highly regarded, well-known health professionals who provide women easy access to their collective knowledge on health, from a body, mind and spirit perspective. She was named a "Face to Watch" by Boston's Chronicle TV Magazine, and "Best of Boston" by Boston Magazine.

Dr. Ricciotti enjoys providing obstetrical care and well-women care for all phases of the lifecycle. In addition, she has special expertise in:

· Nutrition and exercise

· Cervical cancer screening and prevention

· Women's health -- comprehensive preventive care
