And we can safely say that there is no better fat burner than Clen, if you know how to use it.
Sadly, there seem to be more people who abuse it these days.
This has led to ‘messaging-board hysteria’, where people trash Clen left, right and center at every chance they get.
There’s no denying that Clenbuterol is a very strong drug that can cause some serious side effects. But the chances of it occurring are slim if you know how to use it.
If you are an athlete or a bodybuilder or just the average gym rat looking to shed some fat with Clen, then here’s a brief primer to help you get going.
Clenbuterol is a stimulant that belongs to a category of drugs called ‘sympathomimetics’, which also includes a lot of other compounds, like Caffeine, Ephedrine, Amphetamines and Cocaine.
As strange as it sounds, most of these compounds even work in a similar fashion. But Clen is not going to knock you into wonderland like some of its more notorious siblings.
Instead, it works almost exclusively on the beta-2 adreno receptor, which in turn manifests different effects in different cells.
In the bronchial tubes, it dilates and widens the airways which allows an asthma patient to breathe better.
In adipose tissue, it initiates lipolysis or the breakdown of stored fat into freely available fatty acids.
There are some other unwanted effects too. But they are too mild at low doses to cause any serious problems while using Clenbuterol.
The drug is mostly sold under the brand name ‘Clenbuterol’ in UG Labs and in legitimate pharmacies in Europe, where it is used for therapeutic applications.
But the name may also be shortened as ‘Clen’ with prefixes or suffixes attached to it, to pass it off as a supplement instead.
Like Clen 365, or Clen Burn.

If it contains Clenbuterol, it’s a pharmaceutical grade drug. And should be used extremely cautiously.
Main uses of Clenbuterol
Clenbuterol is primarily used as a bronchodilator for the treatment of asthma.
However, it has become more famous as a thermogenic in bodybuilding and in health and fitness circles.
- Fat Burn: Clenbuterol does not directly burn fat. Instead, it works on the sympathomimetic nervous system and increases the basal metabolic rate, which in turn boosts fat loss. In other words, your body temperature is increased slightly. This increases the rate at which your body burns fat. This makes Clen, a very versatile compound. Use it during a bulking cycle and it will prevent your body from gaining too much fat. Use it during a cutting cycle and you will burn fat faster than ever.
- Anabolic: A lot of users claim that Clenbuterol is slightly anabolic which helps them prevent muscle loss when they use it during a cutting phase. However, this trait of the compound is highly debated and highly subjective. The bodybuilding community has bunked this and claim that it’s just a placebo effect. In theory, Clenbuterol does contain anabolic properties. But this is only effective in animals, not in humans.
Side Effects of Clenbuterol
Clenbuterol is one of the most powerful stimulants in the world. And any stimulant that’s strong enough to increase your basal metabolic rate does come with the risk of some side effects.
When it comes to Clen, these side effects are highly dosage dependent. They can be mildly annoying at first and then become so severe that you may find it impossible to function normally.
Hence, it is crucial to analyze and adjust the dosage depending on how you react to the drug.
The first noticeable effect of Clenbuterol is a jittery and wired feeling. You may experience tremors and increased sweating as the body temperature increases. This feeling may continue to last during the initial stages of using Clen as your body gets used to the drug. However, in some people this lasts throughout the cycle duration making it a very uncomfortable experience.
Irregular heartbeats are another scary and potentially dangerous side effect of Clenbuterol. That’s because Clen usage has been linked with Myocardial Ischemia, a condition in which the blood supply to the heart is affected and can even cause death. If you are experiencing arrhythmia, then discontinue usage and speak to a doctor.
Clenbuterol can cause severe, involuntary muscle cramps, particularly in athletes who are involved in intense workout sessions. That’s because it depletes Taurine in the body. Taurine supplementation at 2-2.5mg/day should be able to reduce the instances of muscle cramps.
Other than this, there may be mild side effects like nausea and insomnia that will fade as your body gets adjusted to Clen.
Dosage and stacks
Clenbuterol doses should be ramped up gradually to understand your tolerance level to the drug and to reduce the risk of severe side effects.
An ideal starting dose would be 40mcg/day taken once in the AM, for 3 days.
If well tolerated, increase this by 20mcg for the next three days and so on until you reach 120-140mcg/day, which is considered by many as the maximum upper limit for performance enhancement.
Anything more than this severely increases the risk of side effects.
Also, your body will quickly adjust to the peak dose of Clenbuterol and hence, it is recommended that you cycle it for two weeks, followed by a break for the next two weeks.
One of the best things about Clenbuterol is that you can use it as a solo drug even if you aren’t using anabolic steroids.
However, if you are using steroids, then Clen fits seamlessly into any steroidal stack. You can use it with Testosterone in the last few days of the cycle for the finishing touch. Ditto with Deca Durabolin, Dianabol or any wet gains steroid.
